Playstation 3

Off to a slow start when it dropped onto the scene back in 2006 and boasting a phat price tag of $599, the PS3 was received to mixed reviews. Still the potential was there. Being one of the cheaper Blu-Ray players at the time and the first home game console with Sony's new format, the Playstation 3 rose to fame. Sony released a couple slim models during its life span and it ended its sales history with just under 88 million units sold. It's role in supercomputing and it's vast library of games make it one of the greatest systems ever made.
